6pm – Welcome
18:30 – Introduction by Frédéric Worms, Stéphane Israël and Guillaume Faury, Executive Chairman of Airbus and Chairman of GIFAS
7.00 pm – Presentation of the Chair by Stéphanie Ruphy (ENS-PSL), Scientific Director of the Chair, followed by three presentations of research work:
Athéna Coustenis (Paris Observatory): Exploration of habitable worlds in the Solar System
Guillaume Schlumberger and Lise Dubois (Ministère des Armées, Centre Interdisciplinaire sur les Enjeux Stratégiques de l’ENS): Space, a strategic competition issue
Laurent Bopp (Director of the Geosciences Department at the ENS): What contribution can space make to our knowledge of the climate and the oceans?
20:00 – Conclusion by Philippe Baptiste, President of CNES, Hervé Derrey, Chairman and CEO of Thales Alenia Space and Chairman of the GIFAS Space Commission and Jean-Hubert Lenotte, Director of Strategy and Resources, Eutelsat Group.
A cocktail reception will be served after the discussion.
