On Monday 23 June 2025, the sixth session of the ‘Young Researchers’ workshop focused on the use of satellite data in climate governance and epistemic justice, as part of the Chair’s research axis 3 devoted to the sustainable use of Space.
– Timothée Cabos is a doctoral student at the Space Chair. He holds a Master’s degree in cosmology and particle physics from the University of Montpellier and a Master’s degree in philosophy of science from Sorbonne University. He is developing research into the role of satellite data in representations of climate phenomena, and their influence on situations of epistemic injustice relating to climate and environmental issues.
– Alix Burgun holds a Master’s degree in climate science from Sorbonne University and a Master’s degree in environmental policy from Sciences Po Paris. Before starting her thesis, she worked for Vinci Energies for 3 years. She is currently a doctoral student at the Institut de Gouvernance de l’Environnement et Développement Territorial at the University of Geneva. Her research focuses on how the production of Earth observation data shapes international relations, particularly North/South relations.
